Ageratum houstonianum

Notes : The ageratum houstonianum, common name floss flower,  is a genus of about 40 species. The most popular strains are blue, but there are also pink and white forms available. Use as a bedding plant or as edging in borders. Can be grown in containers. Grow in fertile, moist, but well-drained soil. Water freely in mid-summer to prolong flowering. Dead-head to encourage a second flowering. Sow seed from Spring to mid-summer, or plant out seedlings from early to late Summer. Pests and diseases: prone to root rot.
